Fourth Grade Rats!!

In this picture it shows Mrs. Bohling's very cute rats, their names are Spitz and Phelps. Mrs. Bohling's rats became part of Halstead Middle School, at the beginning of last year. Most of the kids enjoy the rats. Some ways that we enjoy them are holding them, watch them roll around in their ball, and play with the amazing Spitz and Phelps.

Stone Fox

4th graders have been working on a book called Stone Fox. First you have to read the the story then right down the vocab. words the page the word is on and the paragraph. Then you get to do fun projects. For example one project is dress up as your fav. character and tell the story from characters point of view. Another project is designing a dog sled path. You can also draw a picture of your fav. character and write why you like them. Another one is to train dogs for a dog sled race. Or you can design a dog sled. In the book there's lots of surprises and a good (but sad) ending.

Mrs.Bohling's class with art

This week Mrs.Bohling's class was in art. The first project was to draw instruments and make shapes with contour lines. We used warm colors for the instruments and cool colors for the background. We have a new teacher Mrs.Heidebrecht. She is very nice and good at art. It is different from last year because we go every day and have sinks in the classroom. We think that art is very fun and even though it gets tough we have a great time.

Fun in art

This week our art teacher let us make a sculpture and a base for them. We got a lot of paper and drew a design. We traced 47 copies. We spread glue all over each layer of paper. Next we got a blob of clay and created a base. Games we played in art was art bingo, a game that was like go fish, and search art. We had a lot of fun!

Recess In and Out

Recess is FUN! Weather we are indoors or outdoors we always have fun. The main thing for the boys is Wallball, Football and the slide. The girls took over the swings. Recess is fun but to go to it you have to have your assigments done. At indoor recess most people play Knock-Out and talk in the bleachers. Some brave girls and boys put on dance shows! They dance to lots of songs. No matter where you are at recess it is always a lot of FUN!!!

Friday Party!!!!!!!

This post is all about our Friday parties. The way we get the Friday parties is to stay off blue. Ways we can stay off blue are by listen and don't talk when the teachers talking walk on the right side of the halls and turn in homework and rocket math. Just follow the rules is the main thing .The fun things about the Friday parties are that we can bring electronics and snacks .We also get to hang out with our freinds and we sometimes go outside.This is why we like Friday parties

Fourth Grade Fire Prevention

In fourth grade we had a fire prevention. We went into two groups, one group went to the fire hose, the other group went into the smoke house. At the fire hose we got to control the hose[it was remote control].We made the water go up and down,left and right, skinnier and fatter. Then the groups switched. At the smoke house we went in and the lights were off. We had to feel are way through. We touched door nobs to see if they were hot. We had fun at the fourth grade fire prevention.
